winmail.dat makes you Fentun

The unfortunate thing about another operating system platform is compatibility. In particular, emails at work (or play). Another thing is the use of standards.

If you get an attachment thats called winmail.dat, thats not the actual attachment but a wrapped up version. It probably is a Microsoft Word Document or some other.

A tool called Fentun is available that can help unwrap this shell and help extract the contents. Instructions are here.
